Would I recommend it? Absolutely, to the right person. Just go in with the correct expectations on comfort, and you'll be golden. Comparing it to my other Jordan 1s, this blue pair holds its own. It feels identical in construction to recent retro releases. If you have the 'University Blue' ones, these are a darker, more saturated alternative. Versus a Jordan 3 or 4? Completely different ball game—way less cushioning. The pro here is the absolute classic, never-goes-out-of-style design of the AJ1. That’s its biggest strength, period. Comparing it to other Jordans I own… like, versus a Jordan 3 or 4, this Air Jordan 1 is noticeably lighter and more low-profile. The comfort tech is obviously more basic, but that's not the point here. The point is the silhouette and the heritage. This particular blue colorway holds its value and style relevance way better than some newer, louder models, in my honest opinion. It’s a cornerstone of any collection. Walking around in them… you definitely feel connected to the ground. The cushioning is minimal — it's that classic, firm feel. They’re not heavy, but you know you're wearing a substantial shoe. Compared to newer J's, like a Jordan 3 or 4 with more Air, the "Air Jordan 1 Blue" is a different experience. It’s about style and history over advanced comfort.
