Whether it’s this ‘Obsidian’ pair or another color, you’re buying a piece of culture. At ~$180 USD, it's an investment in a versatile, iconic silhouette. It's not perfect for performance, but for style, history, and collectibility — it’s absolutely worth it in my book. What do you guys think? After wearing these for a week, my final take? I love them for what they are. A style powerhouse. The $180 is for the legacy & the look. Are they the comfiest shoes in my rotation? No. But do I grab them when I want to look good with zero effort? Absolutely, 100%. First off, the in-hand feel of this Air Jordan 1 High is sturdy. The leather has a nice grain to it. Slipping them on? The ankle collar is stiff initially, but it molds to you. They look even better on foot than in the box, that height really works. A downside? They can get warm. Not the most breathable shoe. Compared to a Jordan 1 Low, you get more support but less easy, slip-on vibe. Great for a statement fit, not ideal for super hot days. Comparing it to newer Jordans, like an AJ4 or an AJ11? The Air Jordan 1 High is definitely less cushioned. It’s about style and heritage over pure comfort. But – and this is big – it’s more comfortable than a Dunk, in my opinion. That slight bit of padding and the insole make a difference for all-day wear.
