Just got this Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Light Smoke Grey' in hand. Initial thoughts? The materials feel a step up – nice tumbled leather! The grey & white is super wearable. Putting them on... the ankle collar is stiff "initially", but the midfoot lockdown is good. Compared to my Dunks, the AJ1 Mid feels more structured. I love the classic basketball profile on foot. Downside? The outsole is a bit slippery on smooth surfaces. At around $120, it's a great entry into the Jordan series. But if you have wide feet? "Proceed with caution." First try-on of the "Air Jordan 1 Mid" – immediate thoughts? The collar height is perfect for showing off your socks. The materials are what you'd expect for the $120 USD price tag: good, not great. Visually, the Mid offers a cleaner, slightly more modern proportion than the High, in my opinion. It's excellent for adding that sneakerhead touch to an outfit without being too loud. Not excellent for wide-footers; it runs a bit narrow. Know your fit! On foot, the silhouette is just undeniably cool. It gives you that slight lift and the ankle support feels more substantial than a low-top. I'm wearing this "Light Smoke Grey" pair, and the quality is surprisingly decent for the price.
