The silhouette is nearly identical to most people. A con? Purists will always favor the High. But for $110-$130, you're getting 90% of the same aesthetic and heritage. If you're new to sneakers and want a versatile staple, a Mid is a fantastic starting point. Is it perfect? Nah. The main con is the materials can be hit or miss. Some colorways use nicer leather, others use stiffer stuff. This one's okay. Also, if you have wide feet, go up half a size for sure. The break-in period is real. But once they mold to your foot, they're great. It's a classic for a reason, even in its Mid form. Comparing it to other Jordans? The Mid sits, well, in the middle. It’s more affordable than most Highs (this pair is $115), and it’s got more presence than a Low for me. The build quality on this specific ‘Mid’ is good—no major glue stains or anything. A clear advantage is the classic look without the classic High-top price hike, which is a huge pro for a lot of sneakerheads on a budget. Unboxing this 'Triple White' "Air Jordan 1 Mid" – wow, these are crisp. The leather has a nice grain. Sliding them on, the ankle collar is padded just enough. They feel more flexible than older Mids I've owned. The all-white look is a summer killer, but be warned: they'll get dirty fast. A great, affordable alternative to the High OG versions, for sure.
