For $115 USD, it’s an entry point into the Jordan series. It’s also great for collectors who want a specific colorway that only releases in a Mid cut. It serves a real purpose. First impression of this "Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Light Smoke Grey'": super wearable color-blocking. The materials are a mix of leather and suede, which adds nice texture. Sliding them on, the break-in period is real—they're snug at first. Compared to my Jordan 1 Highs, the overall build feels "slightly" less substantial, but that's expected for the lower price point (~$120). It's a fantastic option if you want that AJ1 aesthetic but need a more budget-friendly grab. So I just unboxed this new 'Hyper Royal' colorway of the "Air Jordan 1 Mid". The blue is way nicer in person! The build feels solid, no major glue stains or anything. As a shoe in the "Jordan" series, the "Mid" is such a versatile option—easier to style for everyday than some of the high-tops, in my opinion. On foot, the weight feels good – not too heavy, not too light. The leather creases, that's just part of the charm with this model. Some people hate that, I think it adds character. The mid-top height offers a bit more support than a low-top, but less than a High. It's that perfect middle ground. For daily beaters, you can't go wrong with a Mid colorway you love.
