It's not the most groundbreaking release, but it's a "really" strong one. If you like what you see, you probably won't be disappointed. Sliding these on? The fit is classic AJ 11. That patent leather cage gives you that secure, "locked-in" feel around the midfoot instantly. The collar is padded just right - no pinching. Weight-wise, they feel identical to my other 11s… which is to say, not ultra-light, but not clunky either. A very familiar, comfortable fit from the first wear. Conversely, who might want to "skip" it? If you need maximum comfort or a super-light shoe, look elsewhere. If you only buy the most iconic, OG Jordan colorways, this might feel like a "side story." Also, if you live in a super wet or muddy area, that light outsole and suede might cause you constant anxiety. It's not a beater shoe, for sure. Comparing it to other Jordans? The 11 sits uniquely. It’s sleeker than a bulky 4 or 5, and the tech (hello, full-length Air Sole) feels more substantial than an AJ1. The '285' colorway, specifically, is less flashy than a 'Concord' but more interesting than a straight 'Cool Grey'. It carves its own niche in the Jordan series, for sure.
