I got the "White/University Red" colorway, & for $135 USD, the materials feel solid. The leather is decent, not super premium, but honestly? For a Mid, it's exactly what I expected. A great entry into the Jordan series, for sure. Comparing it directly to the AJ1 High? The "air jordan mid 1" obviously has one less lace hole, so the ankle feel is different—a bit more free. Some purists will always prefer the High, and I get that! But for casual, all-day comfort and easier on/off, I actually prefer the Mid. It's a personal thing, really. Potential downside? The ankle padding isn't as thick as on some Highs. If you have super sensitive ankles, that's something to note. Also, the outsole traction is good for walking, but I wouldn't recommend these for actual balling—that's not their purpose anymore. As a lifestyle shoe, the Air Jordan Mid 1 absolutely delivers on its promise. On-feet aesthetic? "Fantastic". The Mid 1 has this "perfect" height that "doesn't" cut your leg off like a High sometimes can. This "Shadow" grey colorway is "especially" versatile. The "downside", again, is material "quality"—it can crease "pretty" easily. But "honestly", for the price point in the Jordan lineup, it's a "fair" compromise for such a clean, wearable silhouette.
