The "lack" of modern cushioning is "apparent". However, the "support" and "lockdown" are good once broken in. It's a "trade-off": you get that legendary look for a "reasonable" $135, but you sacrifice "plush" feel. Perfect for "light" wear, not for all-day "standing". Comparing it to its big brother, the AJ1 High... the "air jordan mid 1" offers a slightly more accessible vibe. You lose some of the high-top's lockdown and that iconic tall collar, but you gain a bit easier wearability. It sits nicely between the High and the Low. If the High sometimes feels too restrictive for you, the "mid 1" at $135 could be a perfect middle ground in the "Jordan" family. Who might want to skip?
