You lose some of the high-top's lockdown and that iconic tall collar, but you gain a bit easier wearability. It sits nicely between the High and the Low. If the High sometimes feels too restrictive for you, the "mid 1" at $135 could be a perfect middle ground in the "Jordan" family. On feet now. The fit is true to size for me. The padding around the ankle on the Mid is noticeable—it's comfortable and gives good support for casual wear. The footbed isn't plush by any means, but it's not uncomfortable either. It's that classic, flat feel. If you're used to modern, cushioned sneakers, the Air Jordan 1 Mid might feel a bit firm at first. Looking at the details... The stitching on my pair is clean. The leather, while not buttery, has a nice grain. For a "Jordan series" staple at this price, you get what you pay for—and that's okay! The "Air Jordan Mid 1" is a no-fuss, reliable design. It won't blow your mind with tech, but it will complete fits for years. It might feel a bit narrow for wide-footers, so maybe size up half. Overall, a solid 7.5/10 for me.
