.. The Air Jordan Mid 1 is like the "accessible" sibling. Next to a Jordan 3 or 4 with Air units, it feels "basic" underfoot. But! Its "simplicity" is its strength. It's "lighter" than most retro models and "easier" to style. For a first Jordan? "Solid" choice. For a comfort-first sneakerhead? "Maybe" look "elsewhere". On foot, they feel secure. The ankle support from the Mid collar is noticeable without being restrictive? It's a great balance. Visually, this "Shadow" colorway is super clean and goes with literally everything. For a classic sneaker from the Jordan series under $150, it's hard to argue with the value proposition here. Not for everyone though. If you prioritize ultimate comfort and soft cushioning above all else... maybe look elsewhere. Also, hardcore sneakerheads might only go for High OG colorways. But for most people? This Mid delivers the essential Jordan 1 experience. It's a legit, classic sneaker. Conversely, who should skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, for sure. Also, if you're a purest for the original '85 High OG shape and details, the Mid’s proportions might feel off. And if you already have multiple similar colorways in the Jordan series, this might be a pass. It’s a fantastic shoe, but it doesn’t reinvent the wheel.
