It's comfortable right out of the box for casual wear, no real break-in needed. Who should maybe pass? If you're on a tight budget, there are more affordable Jordan models. Also, if you need ultra-plush, modern running-shoe comfort, this isn't it. The Air Jordan Retro 3 is comfortable, but it's still a vintage basketball shoe at its core. Comparing it to other Jordans? The AJ3 sits differently than a 1 or a 4. It's lower profile than a 4 but has more structure than a 1. The toe box shape is unique to the 3. If you have other Retros, you'll notice the difference immediately. For me, the Air Jordan 3 offers a great balance between style and a bit more foot-hugging fit.
