The "huge benefit" is, of course, the comfort – you can actually walk in these all day. The "compromise"? It "doesn't" have the exact same stiff, structured look of the OG. If you've always loved the "Air Jordan 1" style but hated the feel, "this" is your shoe. Traditionalists might find it "too" different. Putting these 'University Blue' Jordan 1s on camera... wow, they photograph beautifully! The suede accents add great texture. In hand, the build quality is excellent. A clear pro is the shoe's cultural impact & sheer style points. The con? Everyone has them. If you want something unique, this might not be it. But for a classic blue & white sneaker, it's a home run. On feet, this colorway "pops". The white, black, and Chicago Red just work with everything — jeans, shorts, you name it.
