Not ideal for someone whose #1 priority is cutting-edge comfort technology. Straight up, putting these "Air Jordan 1"s on... the comfort is... okay. It’s a firm ride, folks – don't expect plush cushioning. The ankle collar gives good support, and the overall fit is true to size for me. The break-in period is real, though. After a few wears, they mold to your foot much better. It's that structured, supportive feel the 1s are known for. After wearing these Jordan 1s for a bit, the leather does break in nicely. The fit is true to size, good width. The grip is decent on dry surfaces. Is it worth the price? For this colorway and quality, yes – if you love the design. But at retail or slightly above; I wouldn't pay a massive resell premium for the basic tech inside. Let's talk about the Jordan Air 1 'Light Smoke Grey'. This is a perfect example of a non-OG colorway that just works. The materials feel premium, & the grey nubuck is buttery. On feet, they're surprisingly light! A major pro is how easy they are to style for a casual fit. A con? That outsole picks up dirt like crazy. If you want a low-maintenance shoe, maybe look elsewhere.
