Jordan air 1 : Unboxing this pair felt special [za3ds8s3]

The classic red/black box, the tissue paper... it's a whole vibe. Holding this "Jordan Air 1", the build quality is good – clean stitching, no glue stains on my pair. The leather on the toe box is a bit stiffer than I'd hoped, but it'll soften. Compared to the recent '85 cut models, this Retro High OG feels more accessible – in both fit and that $180 price point. Solid first impression. Now, the "cons"—the potential deal-breakers. The comfort is "not" for everyone. If you need plush cushioning, look at "Jordan 11"s or "13"s. Also, the leather can crease noticeably (part of the charm for some, a flaw for others). And that high-top can feel restrictive if you're used to lows. It's a style-over-maximum-comfort pick, period. Comparing it to my other Jordans... The Air 1 feels more substantial than an Air Force 1 (in my opinion) but less bulky than a Jordan 4. It’s that perfect middle ground. The price? Consistent with the legacy. You're buying into the Jordan series origin story every time you lace up a Jordan Air 1. For my wide-foot friends, listen up: the Jordan Air 1 can be tricky. That narrow toe box is no joke. I'd suggest trying a half-size up. The "upside"? Once broken in, the leather molds to your foot nicely. The design is timeless — it's why we're still talking about it decades later. Just know your foot shape before dropping $180+ on these.
