Don't expect modern bounce, it's more about stability. The ankle collar provides decent support. They "do" have some weight to them – not the lightest sneaker, for sure. But that's part of the AF1 feel, you know? First off, the weight. Picking up the "Jordan Air Force 1", you notice it. On foot, it's not "heavy" but you're aware of it—it's a substantial shoe. On-foot feel update: After a full day, the cushioning is… adequate. The air unit in the heel is noticeable, but the forefoot is firm. They're not uncomfortable, just "substantial".
