It's great for casual wear, running errands, or if you find high-tops uncomfortable. You get that Jordan brand look without the commitment of a bulky shoe. On-camera, this shoe pops. The color blocking is simple, so it won't clash with your fits. I've been wearing the rare air jordan 1 for a few hours now, and the break-in is minimal – that's a huge plus. The sole is a bit stiff, but that's typical for this model early on. It's a great daily driver. Comparing it to my other Jordans... it's lighter than some mids, and the leather feels comparable to other GR (General Release) highs. It doesn't have the premium tumbled leather of some SBs, but that's reflected in the cost. For a simple, white-based Jordan 1, this Rare Air version holds its own in the lineup. A smart buy, IMO. Okay, first impression out of the box? This "rare air jordan 1" in the "White Cement" colorway is super clean. The build quality is surprisingly solid – no glue stains I can see. It's definitely a lighter build than your standard AJ1, you can feel it. The silhouette is "classic", but those perforations on the toe and wings logo give it a distinct, more breathable look. For $150, it's a great entry point into the Jordan series.
