I don't love it like a classic Retro, but I appreciate what it does. It's a confident, subtle take on the Air Jordan 3. The comfort is there, the style is easy, and it fills a gap in my collection. The rare air jordan 3 won't be everyone's favorite, but it definitely has its place. Comparing it to my other Jordans... it's lighter than an AJ1, for sure. Versus a standard Jordan 3, this "Rare Air" feels less bulky. The simplified design makes it feel more like a modern sneaker. If you love the AJ3 shape but want something a bit subtler, this is a compelling option in the Jordan series. Now, a potential con: the materials. If you're a sneakerhead used to buttery leathers and premium suedes, these might feel a bit cheap. The synthetic upper doesn't have the same richness. Also, the lack of "Nike Air" branding on the heel is a deal-breaker for some purists. The "rare air jordan 3" is for a different audience. Putting these rare air jordan 3s on... wow, the comfort is immediate. The insole is cushioned, and the fit is true to size for me. They're not super heavy, which I like. The ankle collar is padded just right. Honestly, for a retro, the step-in comfort is a big plus. It feels like a shoe you can wear all day without breaking in.
