This is the 'University Blue' pair. First thing I noticed was that buttery soft leather on the blue panels—really premium. The shoe feels substantial, you know? On feet, the fit is true to size, but it's a snug, structured fit. Compared to a modern Jordan like the 3 or 4, it's way less cushioned. That's the trade-off for that timeless, "perfect" high-top profile. Comparing it to a newer Jordan, like a Jordan 4? Totally different world. The AJ4 has more tech, more cushioning. The "Air Jordan 1 High OG" is about that raw, simple design—it's the foundation. The advantage? Timeless style that never goes out of fashion. The downside? If you're used to modern, bouncy sneakers, the firm ride of the AJ1 will be a noticeable, maybe unwelcome, change. Sliding these on... yeah, it's the classic AJ1 High OG feel. Don't expect Boost or Zoom comfort here – it's a firm, supportive ride. The ankle padding & high-top design give great lock-down, "but" if you're used to modern cushioning, you'll notice the difference. For true OG fans, though, this is the authentic feel they want from an Air Jordan 1. First impression out of the box: clean. Simple, but powerful. On foot, the lockdown is great. The toe box has room, which I like. Aesthetically, few shoes work as well with so many fits. The downside? That classic flat feel — zero "bounce." You're buying the icon status. Perfect for sneakerheads starting a collection. Not for comfort seekers. At ~$180, know what you're getting.
