The suede details are "really" nice in person—a big step up from the standard all-leather versions. On foot, they're breathable and lightweight. Compared to a bulkier Jordan 4... these are a dream for all-day wear. Major pro: killer looks. Con: that suede will need some babying if you live in a rainy area. Here we go – fresh out the box, the leather has a nice sheen to it. The Air Jordan 1 Low design is just timeless, you know? Sliding my foot in, the break-in is almost non-existent, which is great. On-foot look is clean and works with virtually any fit – jeans, joggers, you name it. Compared to newer Jordan lows, the tooling and feel are nearly identical – it's a consistent formula. Pro: Unmatched versatility and style history. Con: They're not a "comfort" sneaker by 2024 standards. At this price point in the Jordan series, they're a must-have for style. I'd avoid if your priority is cloud-like comfort from the get-go. Who should maybe avoid it? If you prioritize ultimate comfort above all else, look elsewhere. If you need arch support or have wider feet, the narrow fit might be an issue. Also, if you're looking for a true "performance" basketball shoe – even for casual play – this isn't it. It's a lifestyle sneaker through and through. So I'm wearing the "Starfish" orange "Air Jordan 1 Low" today. The color is even brighter on foot—perfect for summer. The fit is TTS for me. Pro: unbelievable versatility for such a bold color. Con? The white midsole will get dirty... fast. This pair is for the style risk-takers. If you only wear neutrals, maybe skip this one and stick to a grey or black pair.
