Right out of the box, you notice the unique texture - it's a nice detail. Sliding them on, the fit is standard. They're definitely a head-turner. The upper feels a bit more flexible than the usual all-leather pair. Advantage: stands out in a crowd. Disadvantage: might be harder to style for some. Priced at $125, it's for the person who already has a few basic Lows and wants something with a twist. Simple as that. On foot, the 'Shadow' "Air Jordan 1 Low" looks "so" versatile. The grey and black combo is "incredibly" easy to style. The low profile makes your ankles look... longer? It’s a sleek look. Compared to the "bulkier" highs, these are my go-to for "everyday" errands. They’re just "less" of a statement, in a good way. Comparing it to other Jordans? It's interesting. Versus a Jordan 1 High, you lose some ankle support (obviously) and that "statement" look. But you gain a ton of wearability. Next to something like a Jordan 4 or 5? The "Air Jordan 1 Low" feels minimal and simple. It's a different tool for a different job – more of a daily driver. Just unboxed the Air Jordan 1 Low 'University Blue'. That blue pops against the white leather! Sizing tip: they fit TTS for me. Walking around, the outsole grip is good for daily use. The main advantage of this low-top model is its versatility in outfits – it's less "sporty" than a High. Downside? The toe box creases pretty easily. Still, a great entry into the Jordan series.
