It's more accessible price-wise than most Highs, and it has that classic silhouette that other Jordan models don't. For ~$125, you're getting iconic style. The "pro"? You look great. The "con"? Don't expect Zoom Air comfort like a newer model. It's about the look. Now, the not-so-great part? The break-in. The first few wears can be a bit stiff, especially around the collar. If you're used to modern, foam-packed shoes, the air jordan 1 mid se will feel very... traditional. Also, the outsole traction is just okay for casual wear—I wouldn't ball in these on a dusty court. Comparing it to a High? The "Air Jordan 1 Mid SE" offers a different vibe. You lose a bit of that classic, high-top look, but you gain easier wearability. It's less restrictive around the ankle. If you want the iconic High OG shape, this isn't it – but if you want the Jordan 1 style with a more casual, modern twist, the SE version is a great alternative. Putting these Jordans on for the first time, the fit is pretty TTS for me. The comfort is... "honestly", it's a Jordan 1. You're getting that firm, supportive feel – not super plush. If you're used to modern cushioning, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE might feel a bit stiff at first. But for everyday wear, it's totally fine. The collar padding is decent.
