If you "only" want the "original" High OG cut, this isn't it. But for an everyday, iconic sneaker, this Mid SE version, part of the Jordan series, is a fantastic option. So, who is this for? Honestly, it's perfect for the style-focused sneakerhead who values the look over cutting-edge cushioning. It's for someone who wants that iconic Jordan 1 aesthetic — in a Mid SE cut — without the crazy resale price of some Highs. Great first Jordan, great beater pair, great for casual collectors. On foot, the colorway really pops. I was worried the colors might look flat in person, but they have a nice depth. It's a versatile look that works with so much. Walking around, the Mid height gives you a bit more ankle freedom than the Highs, which I personally prefer for all-day wear. Comparing it to other "Jordan" models, it's obviously less performance-oriented than, say, a 34 or 35... but for lifestyle? This SE version holds its own with a unique twist on the classic. Comparing this SE to a standard Mid – you're getting those unique material plays, which I appreciate! This particular "air jordan 1 mid se" uses a nice, tumbled leather. For the price? It's fair. The insole is pretty standard, nothing special. Who's it for? Someone who wants the AJ1 look without the High top price or the Low top simplicity. It's a perfect middle ground, "literally". Just size true to fit.
