For around $120 USD, I was honestly impressed with the initial quality. No glue stains or anything funky. Is it worth the buy? At its $130-ish retail, I think it's a fair value, especially for an "SE" with upgraded materials. My advice? Wait for a slight sale – you can often find these below retail. If you like the colorway and understand what you're getting into comfort-wise, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE is a really solid, everyday sneaker. No hype, just a good shoe. Who should maybe skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, for sure. If you need pillow-soft steps, look elsewhere. Also, die-hard OG fans who only rock Highs might see the Mid as a compromise. And if you need a performance basketball shoe? This isn't it, my friends. It's strictly for lifestyle. So, should "you" cop? If you need a versatile, no-brainer sneaker that looks good with everything and carries the Jordan legacy, then 100%, go for it. But if your main criteria is advanced cushioning or you only collect rare releases, you can probably pass. For everyone else, this "Jordan series" Mid is a really smart, affordable pick-up.
