This 'True Blue' hits differently in natural light—it's vibrant but not "too" loud. The white leather panels break it up nicely. I've worn them out a couple times, and they get compliments. Compared to my other Jordan 1s, this air jordan 1 mid se sits in a sweet spot: more accessible than Highs, but with more character than some plain Mids. A great everyday option. Reviewing this "Air Jordan 1 Mid SE" "University Blue" and wow, that color pops! The nubuck-like material on this SE version adds nice texture. First wear impression: the cushioning is firm but not harsh. They feel lighter than my Retro Highs, which is a plus. On camera, the color really stands out. I'd say the "main benefit" is getting a unique material or color twist without a crazy price hike (it's $125). Who might not love it? Purists who only care about OG Highs. But for style and value, this Mid SE is a winner in my book. Comparing it to other Jordans? The "Air Jordan 1 Mid SE" sits right in the middle. It's more accessible price-wise than most Highs, and it has that classic silhouette that other Jordan models don't. For ~$125, you're getting iconic style. The "pro"? You look great. The "con"? Don't expect Zoom Air comfort like a newer model. It's about the look. Who should maybe skip it? If you need maximum comfort for all-day wear or long walks, "look elsewhere". Also, if you're a purest for the OG High-top silhouette and collar, this Mid version might feel like a compromise. And performance basketball? Please, no. That's not what this shoe is for in 2024, let's be real.
