Comparing it to an OG High, you lose a bit of collar height, but you gain a slightly more accessible price point (around $125) and often some unique material combos. The comfort is identical – which means decent, but not plush. It's a style-first shoe, and it delivers. Comparing it to my other Jordans, the Mid SE holds its own. It's lighter than a High Top and easier to get on and off. The value here is strong – you're getting the iconic look for less than the High OG versions. For a rotation shoe, it's a smart pick. Now, a potential con. The ankle support. If you’re used to the locked-in feel of a High-top Jordan 1, the "Mid SE" will feel noticeably less secure. It’s not for serious ball anymore (not that any 1s really are). Also, some purists just don’t vibe with the Mid silhouette. It’s a personal preference thing, but it’s worth noting.
