For ~$135 USD, you get a piece of sneaker history in a more wearable package. The build quality on my pair is good—no glue stains or anything. Walking in them feels natural. Compared to some newer Jordans, it’s less techy, more classic. Great for collectors who also want to wear their kicks. Not so great for performance basketball, obviously. A definite recommend for casual wear. Here’s my genuine take: the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE is a workhorse. The build quality is consistent, the style is undeniable. I can't find any major flaws for its category. The only thing to note—the toe box creasing is part of the AJ1 charm. If that bothers you, maybe look at a different model. Otherwise, it's a straight-forward recommendation from me. Here's the potential downside, though: the materials. On my 'Bleached Coral' pair, it's mostly synthetic leather. It's fine, but it won't crease or age as nicely as premium leather. For some collectors, that's a deal-breaker. For a daily beater? It's totally acceptable, especially for the price. Just copped this new SE version, and the materials genuinely impressed me! The mid-top silhouette is iconic, and this particular pair has a really cool, almost faded aesthetic. Is it worth the $125? If you love the Jordan 1 look but want something a "little" different from the usual releases, then absolutely. If you need max comfort for all-day standing? Maybe look elsewhere.
