Great for beginners in the sneaker game. Who is it "not" for? Hardcore OG purists who only rock Highs, or people who prioritize max cushioning above all else. Who should skip it? Hardcore comfort seekers, or people who need ankle support for sports. If you "only" want the "original" High OG cut, this isn't it. But for an everyday, iconic sneaker, this Mid SE version, part of the Jordan series, is a fantastic option. Sliding my foot in... yeah, the fit is true to size for me. Initial feel? It's a Jordan 1, so don't expect clouds. It's firm, supportive – that classic court feel. The "ankle" padding is decent, and the lockdown through the midfoot is good. If you're used to modern, super-soft sneakers, the break-in period here might feel a bit... stiff. But for me, that's part of the Jordan 1 DNA. Sliding these "Air Jordan 1 Mid SE"s on? They feel... "stiff". That's the honest, initial take. The leather needs some break-in time, for sure. The mid-top gives good ankle "presence" – but don't expect crazy cushioning, it's that familiar firm, court-feel. For true comfort seekers? Look elsewhere. For style "purists"? This is it.
