Honestly, the materials—especially that suede/nubuck combo—are a nice step up from some standard Mids I've seen. Weighs in light on the foot, and that SE (Special Edition) detail on the wings logo is a cool touch. For $135, it's a solid pick-up. However, the break-in period is real; the collar might rub a bit at first. I'd recommend these if you value materials over hype. If you want super plush comfort right away, maybe look elsewhere. Comparing these to other Jordans? Versus the Air Jordan 1 High, you lose some ankle support and that "classic" height – some purists will hate that. Versus a bulkier model like a Jordan 4? These are way more low-profile and easy to style. For the price (under $130), the "Air Jordan 1 Mid SE" offers a great entry point into the Jordan series without breaking the bank. It's a simplified icon. Just copped this new SE version, and the materials genuinely impressed me! The mid-top silhouette is iconic, and this particular pair has a really cool, almost faded aesthetic. Is it worth the $125? If you love the Jordan 1 look but want something a "little" different from the usual releases, then absolutely. If you need max comfort for all-day standing? Maybe look elsewhere. On feet, the design really shines. This 'True Blue' hits differently in natural light—it's vibrant but not "too" loud. The white leather panels break it up nicely. I've worn them out a couple times, and they get compliments. Compared to my other Jordan 1s, this air jordan 1 mid se sits in a sweet spot: more accessible than Highs, but with more character than some plain Mids. A great everyday option.
