You get an iconic design, durable construction, and tons of color options. Is it the most comfortable shoe in my rotation? No. But for style-per-dollar, it's hard to beat. Sliding my foot in, the padding around the collar is minimal, which is my main gripe. They're lightweight and easy to style with almost anything. Versus a Dunk Low? The AJ1 Mid has more structure. Pro: Low-key, everyday sneaker. Con: Lack of premium materials. At this price in the "Jordan series", it's about the silhouette. Good for minimalists, not for comfort seekers. The design, man… it's timeless. This "Black Gym Red" pair pops so nicely. On camera and in person, the color blocking does all the work. Is it the most innovative shoe? No. But for under $130 USD, you get a piece of Jordan history that goes with literally everything. My jeans, my shorts - it just works. The Air Jordan 1 Mid is a wardrobe MVP, no doubt.
