The Mid cuts just below the ankle bone. It can feel a bit less restrictive, maybe a tiny bit lighter. But visually? To most people, it’s still that unmistakable Jordan 1 profile. A great alternative if Highs feel too tall for you. Comparing it to its siblings: the "Air Jordan 1 Mid" sits — obviously — between the low and the high. It’s more accessible price-wise than many Retro Highs. The silhouette is nearly identical to the High, just a slightly shorter collar. For daily wear, that difference is minimal. You still get that iconic Jordan Series look & feel. It’s a fantastic entry point into the AJ1 world, no doubt. So I just unboxed this new 'Hyper Royal' colorway of the "Air Jordan 1 Mid". The blue is way nicer in person! The build feels solid, no major glue stains or anything. As a shoe in the "Jordan" series, the "Mid" is such a versatile option—easier to style for everyday than some of the high-tops, in my opinion. Opening the box, the Air Jordan 1 Mid always delivers a solid first impression. The leather on this "Bred Toe" version is decent! Trying them on... yep, there's that familiar, slightly narrow fit (wide-footers, maybe consider sizing up). They look incredible on foot, pure basketball heritage. Compared to newer Jordans, these are less about tech and more about silhouette. A fantastic entry point into the Jordan series. Just know what you're getting: a stylish, supportive shoe, not a plush one.
