The leather is decently soft, not cardboard-stiff, which is a nice surprise for the $125 price point. I’m digging the clean, wearable color-blocking straight away. It’s a classic "Jordan" silhouette that just works. So I just unboxed this new 'Hyper Royal' colorway of the "Air Jordan 1 Mid". The blue is way nicer in person! The build feels solid, no major glue stains or anything. As a shoe in the "Jordan" series, the "Mid" is such a versatile option—easier to style for everyday than some of the high-tops, in my opinion. Comparing it directly to a Jordan 1 High OG... the main difference is obvious: the collar height. The Mid cuts off just above the ankle bone. For me, it actually makes putting them on a bit easier. Some purists will always prefer the High's look, but for lifestyle wear, this Air Jordan 1 Mid is often more practical (and sometimes more affordable). Alright, so I just unboxed this "Wolf Grey" air jordan 1 mid, and my first thought? "Clean." The materials feel pretty standard for the price point (around $135), but the color-blocking is "sharp". It's a super versatile grey-and-white look that I know will get a ton of wear. For a classic Jordan silhouette without the OG High-top price, this is a solid starting point.
