Initial thoughts? The materials feel a step up – nice tumbled leather! The grey & white is super wearable. Putting them on... the ankle collar is stiff "initially", but the midfoot lockdown is good. Compared to my Dunks, the AJ1 Mid feels more structured. I love the classic basketball profile on foot. Downside? The outsole is a bit slippery on smooth surfaces. At around $120, it's a great entry into the Jordan series. But if you have wide feet? "Proceed with caution." Slipping these "Air Jordan 1 Mids" on… immediate thoughts? The fit is true to size for me. The ankle collar is a bit lower than the OG High, which I actually "prefer" for daily wear – easier on the ankles! The cushioning is… well, it’s firm. You're not buying these for a cloud-like ride, let’s be real. Putting these on for a full day… the break-in period is real, folks! That leather needs some time to soften up around the toebox. Once it does, the fit is secure and snug. I appreciate the Mid’s height – it offers a bit more support than a low-top, but less bulk than the High. A great middle ground, honestly. Comparing it to its siblings: the "Air Jordan 1 Mid" sits — obviously — between the low and the high. It’s more accessible price-wise than many Retro Highs. The silhouette is nearly identical to the High, just a slightly shorter collar. For daily wear, that difference is minimal. You still get that iconic Jordan Series look & feel. It’s a fantastic entry point into the AJ1 world, no doubt.
