It’s more accessible price-wise than many Retro Highs. The silhouette is nearly identical to the High, just a slightly shorter collar. For daily wear, that difference is minimal. You still get that iconic Jordan Series look & feel. It’s a fantastic entry point into the AJ1 world, no doubt. Final verdict? For the "price point of ~$120 USD", the "air jordan 1 mid" offers incredible value. You get an iconic design, durable construction, and tons of color options. Is it the most comfortable shoe in my rotation? No. But for style-per-dollar, it's hard to beat. I'd recommend it to any casual sneakerhead or someone building their collection. Serious comfort seekers, be warned. Who might not love it? If you prioritize super-soft cushioning above all else, look elsewhere. This isn't a "comfort-first" sneaker. Also, if you're a purest for the original 1985 High OG design, the slightly altered proportions of the Mid might bug you. But for most people wanting that AJ1 style? The Air Jordan 1 Mid is a fantastic, more affordable door into the Jordan series. Who should maybe skip it? Serious performance basketball players -- this isn't 2024 tech. Also, if you're a die-hard sneakerhead who only values the "original" High OG specs and materials, you might be disappointed. This is the more accessible, mass-friendly version of the icon. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that for 99% of people.
