You get an iconic design, durable construction, and tons of color options. Is it the most comfortable shoe in my rotation? No. But for style-per-dollar, it's hard to beat. I'd recommend it to any casual sneakerhead or someone building their collection. Serious comfort seekers, be warned. Comparing it directly to a Jordan 1 High OG... the main difference is obvious: the collar height. The Mid cuts off just above the ankle bone. For me, it actually makes putting them on a bit easier. Some purists will always prefer the High's look, but for lifestyle wear, this Air Jordan 1 Mid is often more practical (and sometimes more affordable). Okay, putting these "Air Jordan 1 Mids" to the test. This "Chicago Black Toe" look is fire, and at around $125 USD, it's way more accessible than an OG High. The leather quality is okay—it creases easily, which I don't mind. Compared to other Jordans, like a Jordan 4, these are much lighter and less bulky. Pro: Iconic style that goes with everything. Con: The flat outsole isn't great for wet surfaces. Recommended for collectors and casual wearers alike. Just got this new "Air Jordan 1 Mid" GS colorway for my niece! Unboxing it, the smaller size looks so clean. The materials feel consistent with the adult versions. At its price point in the Jordan series, it's a fantastic way to get the younger crew into the game without breaking the bank!
