Wearing them, the ankle collar is comfortable, but the sole is firm, no doubt. In terms of style, it holds up well against other Jordans; the Mid is a bit more low-key than the Highs. Pros: iconic design and easy to style. Cons: not the most breathable shoe. Priced at $125 USD, it's a solid choice for casual wear, but not for athletic use. Unboxing this new Air Jordan 1 Mid colorway... wow, the color-blocking is actually "fire". The leather has a nice sheen to it! On foot, the break-in period is real – you'll feel that around the pinky toe, no cap. It's a bit heavier than I remembered, but the silhouette is just iconic. The pros? Style, history, and endless outfit options. The cons? Arch support isn't the best, and the cushion is basic. For a sneakerhead wanting a classic Jordan vibe without the crazy resale? Perfect. For performance? Not even close. Just got this Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Light Smoke Grey' in hand. Initial thoughts? The materials feel a step up – nice tumbled leather! The grey & white is super wearable. Putting them on... the ankle collar is stiff "initially", but the midfoot lockdown is good. Compared to my Dunks, the AJ1 Mid feels more structured. I love the classic basketball profile on foot.
