The leather on this "Bred Toe" version is decent! Trying them on... yep, there's that familiar, slightly narrow fit (wide-footers, maybe consider sizing up). They look incredible on foot, pure basketball heritage. Compared to newer Jordans, these are less about tech and more about silhouette. A fantastic entry point into the Jordan series. Just know what you're getting: a stylish, supportive shoe, not a plush one. On foot, the air jordan 1 mid — this "Black Toe" colorway ($120 USD) — looks even better in motion! The silhouette is iconic, and on camera, the contrast really stands out. However, the insole isn't the most cushioned, so if you're used to modern sneakers, it might feel a bit basic. Personally, I love it for its versatility. A solid pick for sneakerheads, but maybe not for performance athletes. So I just unboxed this new 'Hyper Royal' colorway of the "Air Jordan 1 Mid". The blue is way nicer in person! The build feels solid, no major glue stains or anything. As a shoe in the "Jordan" series, the "Mid" is such a versatile option—easier to style for everyday than some of the high-tops, in my opinion. Comparing it directly to a Jordan 1 High OG... the main difference is obvious: the collar height. The Mid cuts off just above the ankle bone. For me, it actually makes putting them on a bit easier. Some purists will always prefer the High's look, but for lifestyle wear, this Air Jordan 1 Mid is often more practical (and sometimes more affordable).
