Initial thoughts? The materials feel a step up – nice tumbled leather! The grey & white is super wearable. Putting them on... the ankle collar is stiff "initially", but the midfoot lockdown is good. Compared to my Dunks, the AJ1 Mid feels more structured. I love the classic basketball profile on foot. Downside? The outsole is a bit slippery on smooth surfaces. At around $120, it's a great entry into the Jordan series. But if you have wide feet? "Proceed with caution." Comparing it to other Jordans? An Air Jordan 1 Mid gives you that legendary look without the "sometimes" insane High OG price tag. The silhouette is nearly identical to most people. A con? Purists will always favor the High. But for $110-$130, you're getting 90% of the same aesthetic and heritage. If you're new to sneakers and want a versatile staple, a Mid is a fantastic starting point. Walking around in them, you notice the weight — they’re not heavy, but they have a substantial, quality feel. The flat outsole provides great stability. Honestly, for casual wear and light activity, the "Air Jordan 1 Mid" is more than adequate. The break-in period is minimal, which is a huge plus in my book. If you're new to sneakers, the "Air Jordan 1 Mid" is a perfect start. This 'Chicago' inspired colorway pops! The build feels good, not cheap. Wearing them, they're true to size with a snug forefoot. Compared to modern Jordan models, these are flat and firm – not for long walks, in my opinion. But for looking fresh? 10/10. Definitely a closet staple.
