I actually prefer the Mid for my casual fits. The price, usually under $130, is a plus. Downside? Some purists will always favor the High. They feel lighter, which I like. Honestly, if you're looking for a statement sneaker in the Jordan series that won't break the bank, this Mid delivers. Not for performance basketball, obviously. Now, the not-so-great part. If you're after amazing comfort or modern tech, look elsewhere. The cushioning is basic—it's not a shoe for all-day walking or basketball. Also, the leather quality can vary by colorway; sometimes it's a bit stiff. It's a style-first, comfort-second kind of model. Opening this "Chicago"-inspired "Air Jordan 1 Mid", the colors really pop. The build feels sturdy, a good mix of leather and synthetic. Slipping them on, the ankle collar is definitely lower than the OG Highs – more mobility, but less support. Aesthetically, this shoe kills it with jeans or shorts. The major pro? It’s instantly recognizable as a "Jordan series" icon. The con? That classic, unforgiving break-in period. Worth it for style purists, not for comfort seekers.
