Sliding them on, the ankle collar is padded just enough. They feel more flexible than older Mids I've owned. The all-white look is a summer killer, but be warned: they'll get dirty fast. A great, affordable alternative to the High OG versions, for sure. Just got this Air Jordan 1 Mid 'Light Smoke Grey' in hand. Initial thoughts? The materials feel a step up – nice tumbled leather! The grey & white is super wearable. Putting them on... the ankle collar is stiff "initially", but the midfoot lockdown is good. Compared to my Dunks, the AJ1 Mid feels more structured. I love the classic basketball profile on foot. Downside? The outsole is a bit slippery on smooth surfaces. At around $120, it's a great entry into the Jordan series. But if you have wide feet? "Proceed with caution." This 'Light Smoke Grey' pair is my personal favorite. Such a versatile, elevated neutral. On foot, it goes with literally everything – jeans, sweats, shorts. The "air jordan 1 mid" really shines as a style staple. The break-in was real for me – the heel rubbed a bit day one. After a few wears? It molded nicely. It's a sneaker you grow into, both in comfort and style.
