For $115 USD versus the often-higher High price, it’s a trade-off many are willing to make. The core DNA of the Jordan 1 is absolutely still there in this Mid model. Who is this NOT for? Listen, if you need arch support or have serious foot issues, the "air jordan 1 mid"'s flat footbed might not be your friend. It's a fashion-first sneaker. Also, if you're a purest for the 1985 details – the OG High is your grail. But for someone wanting that Jordan 1 vibe on a budget, or who finds Highs too tall, this Mid version is a perfect solution. Who should maybe skip it? Serious performance basketball players -- this isn't 2024 tech. Also, if you're a die-hard sneakerhead who only values the "original" High OG specs and materials, you might be disappointed. This is the more accessible, mass-friendly version of the icon. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that for 99% of people. Unboxing this 'Bred' colorway—wow, the classic black and red is just fire. The "Air Jordan 1 Mid" captures that essence perfectly. On foot, the support is decent for walking around. My main critique? The insole is pretty basic. I’d recommend swapping it if you plan on being on your feet all day. Still, a legendary look for the price.
