Is it the most comfortable shoe in my rotation? No. But does it make me feel confident and look good on foot? Every single time. Comparing it to the OG High version… you lose some of that iconic collar height, but you also gain easier wearability. For $115 USD versus the often-higher High price, it’s a trade-off many are willing to make. The core DNA of the Jordan 1 is absolutely still there in this Mid model. Who are these for? I’d say: first-time "Jordan" buyers, or anyone wanting a durable, stylish everyday sneaker. The "Air Jordan 1 Mid" is less about performance and more about making a solid style statement. If you love the AJ1 look but find Highs too restrictive or expensive, the Mid is your perfect solution. Who might not love it? If you prioritize super-soft cushioning above all else, look elsewhere. This isn't a "comfort-first" sneaker. Also, if you're a purest for the original 1985 High OG design, the slightly altered proportions of the Mid might bug you. But for most people wanting that AJ1 style? The Air Jordan 1 Mid is a fantastic, more affordable door into the Jordan series.
