I've owned many Jordan 1s, & this red version holds up. The materials are consistent, the color is durable. It's a straightforward, "honest" release. No surprises, which in this case, is a good thing! You get exactly what the pictures show: a legendary shoe in a bold, primary color. Honestly, the biggest pro of this shoe is its versatility. This "Chicago-esque" "air jordan 1 red" colorway goes with literally almost anything – jeans, shorts, you name it. It’s a staple. The build quality on my pair is good, no major flaws. For a classic Jordan series release, it delivers exactly what you'd expect. Now, the possible con? It's not for everyone. If you need plush, all-day comfort - look elsewhere. The "Air Jordan 1 Red" is flat and firm. Also, that bright red isn't subtle! You have to be okay with turning some heads when you wear these out. Comparing it to my other Jordans... the comfort level is similar to most retro 1s. It's definitely firmer than, say, a Jordan 3 or 4 with their Air units. But there's something about the simplicity of the AJ1. This red version stands out in my rotation more than a neutral grey pair. It fills a specific "bold classic" slot that I didn't have before.
