The sole is flat and firm. If you're used to Zoom Air or Boost, you'll be disappointed. This is a 1985 design, after all! It's for style, not performance basketball or all-day walking. So, who's it for? Sneakerheads and style-first people. Who should skip it? Folks needing max comfort. Putting these on camera... the leather has a nice sheen to it. Is it premium tumbled leather? Not entirely, but for the cost, it’s perfectly good. The red panels are smooth, while the white areas have a bit more texture. Overall, a well-put-together shoe. It looks more expensive than it is, honestly! Comparing it to other "Jordan" models – like, say, a Jordan 1 Mid – the materials on this 'High' OG version just feel "noticeably" better. The leather has a nicer grain. Versus a Jordan 3? The 1 is lighter and less technical-looking. It's a different kind of icon. This Red colorway sits right in that sweet spot between loud and wearable. On foot now. The fit is true to size for me – it's a snug, secure wrap around the ankle which I love. Comfort-wise? Let's be real, it's an "air jordan 1 red" – it's not ultra-plush. You get that familiar, slightly stiff feel initially, which is pretty standard for this model. If you want a cloud-like step, this isn't it. But for style? Unbeatable.
