If not, you might feel underwhelmed. Comparing it to my other Jordans... the comfort level is similar to most retro 1s. It's definitely firmer than, say, a Jordan 3 or 4 with their Air units. But there's something about the simplicity of the AJ1. This red version stands out in my rotation more than a neutral grey pair. It fills a specific "bold classic" slot that I didn't have before. After wearing these for a bit, the break-in is real. Once they mold to your foot, it's a good fit. The red leather on this Air Jordan 1 Red version has a nice sheen to it. It's a straightforward, high-quality retro. Compared to a Dunk Low, it offers more structure. The flat sole is a con for long walks, but a pro for that authentic feel.
