The biggest advantage of the "Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG" is versatility. It goes with "literally" everything in your wardrobe. Durability is another plus – these are built to last. And of course, that timeless design means you won’t look dated in 5 years. It’s a $180 USD investment that holds its value, both in style and often in resale. Just got the "Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Taxi'" in. That black, yellow, and white scheme? "Chef's kiss". It's bold but incredibly easy to style. Sliding these on, the ankle collar is high and supportive—great for the look, can be stiff at first. Compared to a Dunk High, the AJ1 has more "presence", in my opinion. The biggest pro is its "versatility". The con is the well-known lack of modern cushioning. If you want a comfortable, tech-filled sneaker, look elsewhere. If you want a style icon, this is it. Comparing it to other Jordans? It's the blueprint. The "air jordan 1 retro high og" is stiffer and less forgiving than, say, a Jordan 3 or 4, which have more cushioning. The toebox can feel a bit narrow initially. But that's part of its DNA! It's a raw, 80s basketball shoe experience. If you want modern comfort, look at the newer "Jordan" models. But if you want the history, the clean lines, and that authentic feel, this is it. Putting these on, you immediately feel the history. This particular "Bred" colorway is so powerful. Comparing it to, say, a Jordan 1 Mid or a Jordan 4? The "air jordan 1 retro high og" just has a different presence – more authentic, more substantial. The leather creases, but that adds character. It's a shoe that tells a story, & I love that about it.
