If you value classic design over plush comfort, you'll love it. It's a must-have for completing that "heritage" section of your rotation. Seriously, it just makes an outfit look "considered". Comparing it to the older Jordan 1 releases, the shape & materials on this retro are "pretty" on point. Nike's been doing a decent job lately. My advice? If you find a colorway you "truly" love at or near retail, "go for it". You're buying into a legend. But don't overpay resale just for hype. There are "always" new colorways coming for the air jordan 1 retro high. Patience pays off. Is it worth the $180? For me, yes – but with a caveat. The value is in its status as a wardrobe essential. You're buying a piece of culture. Don't expect a revolutionary feel on foot. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High is an icon, and sometimes, that's enough justification. After wearing these 'Dark Mocha' joints for a full day... my feet were "feeling it". The insole is just "so" basic. You almost "need" to swap in a better one for all-day wear. That's my main gripe! For a shoe at this price point in the Jordan series, you'd hope for a "little" more underfoot. Still, the buttery suede & brown tones? "Impossible" to hate. It's a trade-off.
