The leather on these 'Court Purples' has a nicer grain. Is it worth the extra cash over a Mid? For a purist, probably yes. But if you're just dipping your toes into the "Jordan" series, a Mid is a fantastic and more affordable starting point. Just my two cents! Unboxing this Air Jordan 1 Retro Mid SE, and I'm impressed by the color details! For a Mid ($135), the quality is surprisingly decent. On foot, they feel almost identical to the Highs - same firm midsole, same snug fit in the toe box. The ankle collar is obviously lower. Honestly, if you want the AJ1 look for less money & easier mobility, this is a smart pick. Purists will always prefer the Highs, but this is a solid, more affordable alternative. Unboxing this 'Shadow Grey' pair - wow. The materials feel premium, the grey suede is buttery. At $185, you're paying for that iconic Jordan 1 shape and a super wearable color-blocking. It's less loud than some Retros, which I love. The craftsmanship here seems a step up from some general releases. Just unboxed this new Air Jordan 1 Retro colorway, and my immediate thought is... the materials feel different this time? The suede/nubuck combo is actually pretty nice for the price point. Throwing them on, the break-in period is real - these are not comfortable out of the box, guys. But as a style piece? Unbeatable. If you want a comfortable Jordan, maybe look at a 3 or a 13. This is all about the silhouette.
