The CMFT is way more comfortable, but the materials and legacy on "this" shoe are superior. It's a trade-off. The "Shattered Backboard" is about iconic style, not cutting-edge feel. That's its biggest pro and con rolled into one. Honestly, the ankle collar on these is "stiff" at first. That's my main "on-feet" critique. But the leather breaks in nicely.
