Comparing it to other Jordans - like, say, an AJ1 or an AJ4 - the Jordan 11 285 release is definitely a more "elegant" basketball shoe in terms of profile. It's sleeker. Compared to other 11s, like the Concord, the color-blocking here is way more subtle and versatile, in my opinion. It's a fresh take on a legendary silhouette. Walking in them all day, the comfort holds up. The support is good, though the higher cut can feel a bit warm in summer. Stylistically, this "285" colorway is less loud than some Retros, which I appreciate. It's a shoe you can wear often without it screaming for attention. That's a huge plus in my book for a model from the Jordan series that's usually a head-turner. Who should maybe pass? If you're on a tight budget, there are other Jordans (or shoes in general) that offer similar style for less. Also, if you need maximum all-day comfort or a super soft step, some modern performance models (even from Jordan Brand) might suit you better than this retro.
