We "all" know it's prone to yellowing over time. It's the trade-off for the look. Also, if you prefer super-soft, modern cushioning, the 11's tech might feel a bit dated. The "igloo release" is for style & collectors, "not" for performance basketball or max comfort seekers. Comparing it to other Jordan 11s — the main difference is obviously the color palette. It's less versatile than a "Cool Grey" but way more unique. The materials feel identical to recent retros (which is good!). If you have other 11s, you'll know the fit & feel instantly. The "Igloo" is for when you want something different in your rotation but still want that iconic Jordan 11 silhouette and comfort. On foot now, and — wow — the feel is exactly what you want from an 11. That full-length Air-Sole unit? Provides that familiar, comfortable cushioning. The patent leather wrap gives great support without being too stiff. They're not the lightest sneakers in the Jordan series, but you don't buy an 11 for a "minimalist" run, you know? It's a comfortable, substantial feel that I personally love. On foot all day? They hold up well. The support is excellent. However, they're "not" the lightest sneakers. You feel the quality, which means a bit of weight. For walking, they're great. For a long day on concrete? Maybe choose something more modern. But "man", do you feel cool wearing this "Jordan 11 Retro".
